What My Wonderful Clients Say…

  • At Embody Pilates I have learned the importance of slowing down and learning the correct technique for each movement. Carol pays attention to the individual, even in her small group classes, and that makes a tremendous difference. We are all hunching over our electronics these days and that's not good. My posture and core strength has greatly improved since I've been working with Carol. I feel stronger and I stand straighter. I value her calm demeanor and her emphasis on doing the exercises correctly and safely. I would encourage anyone who is thinking about trying Pilates to take a class with Carol. You will be amazed at how much better you feel! — Beth S.

  • I have never been one to exercise. I was notorious for trying every exercise class imaginable ... but only once. And vowed to exercise at home as I bought one exercise gadget after another ... but never did. I realized I desperately needed to move and get stronger and regain some flexibility. So, when I stumbled upon Embody Pilates, I was hopeful this would be a good fit for me. Too out of shape and embarrassed to attempt a group class, I was relieved to participate in private sessions. Carol's knowledge and expert coaching skills were just what I needed. She alters my workouts for my specific needs, while challenging me. I am never bored. Working with Carol over the last year, I have definitely built up my stamina, become stronger and much more flexible. An added bonus is I have shed a few pounds in the process. I have finally found a place to workout after searching for 50 years! — Kim H.

  • Carol is attentive to each student in her classes of 4-5 people. She is constantly observing the alignment and movement of body parts, as well as making adjustments for each person in the class. When I started Pilates with Carol 3 months ago, she discovered one hip was higher than the other and my head was turned markedly to the right of the center of my body. She has helped me to gain awareness and make changes to these parts of my body. I am moving through my day with my body in much better alignment, something that will only improve with more Pilates. I entrust my body to Carol’s expertise, superb training, careful attention, and gentle spirit. — Maureen G.

  • Whether you have taken Pilates before or are a newbie, I highly recommend Carol’s classes. She emphasises safety on equipment, decribes good body mechanics so exercises can be done to best of one’s ability and adds enough variety to keep interest. Carol is patient, warm and caring. She takes interest in each person and their issues, individually. She adapts floor and/or equipment exercises to fit the needs of each person. She also incorporates the MELT Method into her classes—both Pilates and MELT help you connect to body parts you did not know you had!!! Go ahead, try a class and see if it fits your needs! — Vicki H.

  • Before I started working with Carol, I was dealing with a knee injury that I thought would prevent me from ever enjoying the activities I most enjoy- hiking, biking, and kayaking. In general, I’m overweight and had gotten very sedentary. I couldn’t enjoy even walking because of my knee injury. Carol was able to help me strengthen my entire body and specifically the muscles supporting my knee through Pilates. In addition to my knee, Carol has helped me strengthen my feet, including my fallen arches and ankles. There is a noticeable difference in even the way my feet look after working with her. Carol truly cares about her client’s health and well-being. She has the most sincere, nonjudgmental, nature and makes you feel you can accomplish anything. I can tell I’m stronger in many ways and have the confidence and desire to keep moving and making progress in my health. I can also tell that Pilates has helped my mental health as well. If you’ve ever been curious about Pilates or just want a way to get healthier, I highly recommend you give Carol a try. She provides a one of a kind experience with her mix of education and training in private sessions or small group classes. — Beth B.
